PAST EVENTS 2020 State Officer Leadership Training (SOLT)
The Delaware Career and Technical Student Organizations of BPA, DECA, Educators Rising, FCCLA, HOSA, SkillsUSA, and TSA held their State Officer Leadership Training (SOLT) virtually via Zoom on August 12, 2020. State Officers from each student organization participated in training that focused on development of both personal and team skills in leadership, communication, service, and more!
2019 Fall Leadership Conference (FLC)
The Fall Leadership Conference is the perfect event for HOSA members to kick off their school year. Led by your own Delaware HOSA state officers, this conference is great for those members willing to immerse themselves in workshops, and activities to become better HOSA leaders for themselves and their chapter. HOSA members will be meeting students from many other schools and engaging in activities that will allow them to get a better understanding of their team. Please join the state officers Victoria, Ashley, Ruhi, Shrey, Ameed and members across the state for the Fall Leadership Conference taking place at the Del-Tech Terry Campus on Tuesday, October 8th and Wednesday, October 9th. CTSO Leadership Conference – November 29 and 30 – Delaware Technical Community College – Terry Campus (Dover)
The Delaware Career and Technical Student Organizations of BPA, DECA, Educators Rising, FCCLA, HOSA, SkillsUSA, and TSA are excited to announce registration for the Fall Leadership Conference (FLC) is open. The conference will be held at Delaware Technical Community College on November 29 (High School) and November 30 (Middle School). Students will gain skills in leadership through a series of engaging workshops, with this year’s focus being on teamwork. State Officers from each student organization will facilitate a professional development workshop related to their respective organization. Dress code is a collared or button-down shirt, dress pants, and closed-toe shoes. The annual all CTSO service project is Toys for Tots. Guidance for toy donation: new un-wrapped toys ($10 or above price range) and/or children’s books; Age range 0-12 years old OR donate check made payable to: Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Toys not accepted for donation include: used toys; toys related to weapons; toys with candy inside; toys with chemicals (i.e., experimental labs, acid, crystal projects, etc.).
Important Planning and Registration Details:
- Comprehensive Schools: Comprehensive middle schools and high schools may send up to eight (8) students per each CTSO local chapter (BPA, HOSA, TSA, SkillsUSA, etc.)
- Vocational Technical High Schools: Vo-Tech schools may send up to two (2) students per each CTE program content area (business, carpentry, electrical, nurse assisting, welding, etc.) *Note: Vocational technical teachers/programs will need to coordinate your registration of two (2) students per each CTE program content area with your student activities coordinator who will complete the registration of your two students on your behalf.
- Annual Fall Service Project: The ALL CTSO service project for the FLC will be Toys For Tots
- Payment by Credit Card is preferred. Registration fees are $35.00 per participant. All conference fees must be paid prior to attendance
- Registrations and Changes: Registration and changes made between November 2-9 will incur a $5.00 late fee

Eleventh Annual Washington Leadership Academy September 17 – 20, 2016
Delaware HOSA-Future Health Professionals state officers attended the Washington Leadership Academy to learn and develop leadership skills from national, state officers, and guest speakers from around the country.2016 Rare Disease Day

Central Middle School Chapter of Delaware HOSA, Future Health Professionals hosted the second annual middle school conference on March 10th. The CMS HOSA students competed in Health Career Display, Health Education, and Medical Terminology events. We are very excited that, new this year, all of the winners qualify to participate in the International HOSA competition in Nashville, TN in June 2016. This is the first year National HOSA is including Middle School in the ILC.Applebee’s Pancake Breakfast
The DE HOSA State Officers participated in the second annual Applebee’s Pancake Breakfast on April 12, 2014. Over seventy people attended the breakfast to support DE HOSA future health professionals! Breakfast included pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, coffee, and juice. DE HOSA hosted another Origami Owl Fundraiser as part of the 2014 State Leadership Conference. The 2014 HOSA State Leadership Conference took place in March 2014. The conference was held over the course of six days at the Delaware State Fire School and the last day at Delaware State University. For more details please view the Competitive Events Schedule. Three new events were added this year; Medical Photography, Medical Reading, and Dental Terminology.
